ANTIQUE APARTMENT

Name Antique revival apartment

Date 2025 Summer

Goal Renovation of an old historical apartment

Location Kyiv/Ukraine

This project was completed during a two-month internship at AKZ Architectura, where I worked on developing the concept, spatial planning, and the selection of materials, furniture, and lighting

The goal of this project was to design an apartment located in a historical building in Kyiv. The internship task was to develop a conceptual interior project that harmoniously combines respect for the architectural heritage of the building with a contemporary vision of living space.

The stylistic foundation of the project is a blend of antique and historical aesthetics — restrained, symmetrical, minimalistic, and bright. The design preserves classical elements such as stucco moldings, arches, and fresco motifs, but reinterprets them through modern materials like stainless steel, glass, and natural wood, creating a refined balance between history and modernity.

The apartment layout integrates a living area with a fireplace, kitchen, and bedroom, forming an open yet intimate environment. Special attention was given to the color palette, which emphasizes the natural textures of materials and the spatial depth of the interior.
