Goal Creating and exploring the urban area of Gràcia (vibrant neighborhood in Barcelona) by developing interventions that enhance public spaces and improve connection through people/ created together with Tess Neuhuys
Location Barcelona/ Carrer del Topazi
The design shifts the car path slightly from right to left, making space for seating while allowing vehicles to pass. The seating, made of stainless steel with ergonomic shapes, includes benches, bike racks, elevated seating with back support, trash bin holders, and tree planters. Shaded spots and trees provide comfort during hot months. Grass pavement adds greenery, reduces odors, and improves air quality.
By integrating nature, multifunctional furniture, and smart planning our design makes Gràcia’s streets more pedestrian-friendly and welcoming.
