Medusa is probably one of the most misunderstood characters in Greek mythology. She's often regarded as a cruel monster, but in fact, she is not. She was born
human and was one of the most beautiful women in Athens. She was cursed by the envious Gods and anyone caught in her petrifying gaze would turn to stone.
My concept is based on Mike Fields sculpture "Unity".
I wanted to make a headpiece that kind of sticks together and at the same time shows lightness.
Unity is being together or at one with someone or something. With my hat I wanted to make connection between person and hat. With my flowy pieces you can see how them can interact with each other and I chose baby blue color to represent purity,
lightness and unity.
