This project was inspired by Ukrainian geometric patterns.
Children now most of the time are in their smartphones, when parents don’t have time to look after them. So I want to create a space in the shopping center where parents can play with their children or have a rest, while their child is playing.
From my pattern children can create and build their own house/pattern and all of the pieces will be no more then 70 cm so parents can take their children on their shoulders and show the pattern that their child created.
Ukrainian patterns hold a deep cultural significance and showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of the Ukrainian people. They are treasured as a unique form of artistic expression and continue to be celebrated and cherished in Ukraine and beyond.
Motifs
Ukrainian patterns feature a variety of motifs. Floral motifs, such as roses, poppies, and sunflowers, are common and symbolize beauty and fertility. Animal motifs, including birds, deer, and horses, represent strength, freedom, and connection with nature. Additionally, geometric motifs convey harmony, order, and protection against evil spirits.
I created a small 1/10 foam model
